My Songs from God!

Wow!  God has done (and is doing) an amazing work in my life!  I give
Him all the praise for the songs He has put in me, and am humbled
that He can use me in His Kingdom work.  I would like to share how
the songwriting began . . .

On April 7, 2006, Shane and I were at the Prayer Center in Princeton, KY.  Two of the
ladies from the center (Kathy and Christy) were praying for me, and I could really feel
the Presence of the Lord.  One of them said that I would hear God's sound, and a few
minutes later as I lay there listening to Don Hershman singing in another room, it sounded
like a group of angels had joined in!  They weren't singing words though, just "oohs" and
"ahhs," and it was beautiful!  (By the way, there was no one in the room singing like that
with Don!)  For several days after that I kept hearing in my head the tune they were
singing and even heard the angels a few a more times!  (Call me a fool if you want to --
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom . . ."  1 Corinthians 1:25.)  Soon I
was able to play the tune I heard, and over the next few months a song continued to
develop.  Sometime in July, "The Angel Song" was complete.

It was quite amazing to me, I had played the piano for years, but I had always had to have
my music in front of me to play.  I added some filler notes here and there, but it took me
a long, long time to pick out a melody to a song and play it without the music.  I couldn't
even play well with chord sheets.  I would get too frustrated and give up before I could
get it all right!  Then, on October 21, 2006, I was leading worship for a women's retreat
that two of my friends were leading.  Early that morning in our hotel room we were
praying for the conference and Barbie and Marcia began praying for me.  Barbie prayed
about new songs and a new sound for me and said I was going to make CDs, that God was
going to give me new songs!  Then she said she had a vision of me on her computer screen
with a flip-top head which was open, and little discs were flying into my head!  She said
God was downloading new songs!  What I wanted to say at first was, "Yeah, right!  That
could never happen to me!" But instead I said, "Okay, God, I receive that.  I know I can't
do it, but if you want to do it through me, here I am, use me."     

Well, two days later I was listening to a Ray Hughes CD while doing the dishes.  He was
preaching about David and Goliath and how David released a new sound -- the winds of
change.  He spoke about true worship and about a "Davidic" anointing.  He said David
released a sound the enemy had not heard and the "Davidic" anointing is going to release
those in alignment to defeat the enemy!  I began to pray as he prayed about stepping into
those things, then went to my keyboard to worship and played a new song (later titled
Unbridled Spirit)!  That easy!  Wow!  Another new amazing, accelerated journey had
begun in my life!  Now, my first CD with 14 songs has been released and another is in the
making!




































Not once have I intentionally sat down to write a song, God has given them to me in prayer
or worship.  So, I have recorded the stories behind the songs.  It makes many of the
